My Throbber's Broken

How Can I Fix It?

I had/have Webblinds. Had it for a couple of years. I liked the little spinning SD Cube. Been using FF for quite a while now, so hadn't paid that much attention to IE. Was reading some comments and somebody mentioned a throbber on a skin and now I can't figure out how to get the throbber in the skins to work. I've set Webblinds to the default throbber. I uninstalled Webblinds. All I get is the ugly black rectangle. Doesn't matter which skin so far (I have quite a list to try).

How can I fix this?

Bichur I hope you didn't post pics of your broken throbber @ www.mythrobberbroke.com.

Sorry Sir B. I don't use Webblinds so can't offer any help but I did have to get in on the fun.

I was a little hesistant to see what you were asking for myself.

One place you may want to look is in the Internet Options-Programs Tab-Manage Addons-Check in the "have been used by" list and see if it's listed but not activated. Otherwise I believe there's a program called Styler that lets you do a lot with IE toolbars and such. I haven't used it so I'm not sure the throbber is included and you'd have to look in Jafo's Monthly screenshot thread to find the link. I believe it was posted on the first or second page.

Morning people. Glad I could amuse you. Much more fun than amusing myself.

Thanks Lantec, now I got a start when I get home. You also made me remember I may have 1 or 2 other programs from a long time ago that I may not have uninstalled...I just have to look for them since I can't remember the names...one was strictly to change the toolbar bmp to whatever you wanted.

Is my pic showing (can't tell if it's broke too or employer firewall or photobucket is still doing maintenance)?

To posters 1-6....try to get a hold of yourselves.

Webblinds had been uninstalled for several months - WindowBlinds have been changed frequently & system is rebooted daily.

I'm not ready for a clean sweep yet. But please keep posting suggestions please.
I'll give them all a try when I get home.

My better half hasn't complained, but I'm pretty sure she'd be very happy if my throbber worked properly.

If you hit Google with "Throber off" it may steer you to one of the windows anoiances sites, there is a program of sorts that through a regestry entry turns on, or off the throber in Explorer or IE. I prefer to look at the progress bar and removed my throber. (No, it didn't hurt)

Well don't do that too much, your browser will go blind!

Mine is too. I used an Airhorn once.. Worked out pretty well. Try uninstalling and deleting the directories. Rebooting and installing everything again and applying the skins?.. Maybe that would do the trick?
