Please HELP

from WinCustomize Forums
My wifes computer will log on to the internet. But nothing will work, call wave, IE, yahoo. It started after she installed XP updates.

you might want to check the XP firewall settings, IE security settings. It's possible that some of that has been tightened.

Also, there was an article on these boards somewhere saying that one of the updates hosed a system and the update had to be uninstalled.

Her computer will connect to the internet, but nothing will log on. IE says this page cannot be displayed, cannot find server. I uninstalled updates and turned off the firewall. The security settings are set at medium.
