Those South Park guys are at it again

South Park (10/19/05) "Two Days before the Day After Tomorrow" (spoilers)

Definitely not politically correct stuff, but the new season of South Park has started with, well, an explosion, a flood, global warming and much, much more.

Trey Parker, Matt Stone and the rest of the folks behind South Park went above and beyond with the newest episode, the season premiere, that aired originally on 10/19/05: "Two Days before the Day After Tomorrow"

Just going on memory, but lets say that they were poking fun of FEMA, disaster responses in general, finger pointers that would place blame for natural disasters, Spartacus, people that build homes below the flood plane, and so much more. Hard to believe that they made it all fit in the approximately 20 minutes worth of actual show that was aired between several minutes of commercials.

It had been a long wait since the last season aired (or at least it felt that way), but the wait seems to have been worth it. Not politically correct by far, but most definitely hilarious stuff.

If you missed the original airing, but get Comedy Central, then be sure to catch one of the repeat airings, and be prepared to laugh long and loud.

I have yet to meet someone who is upset by their show for 'political' reasons. The Team America movie ticked off a few of my
more liberal friends, but they still ended up humming the theme song at work occasionally.

Anti-stupid crosses all political factions, I say.

Caught the show last night from our snapstream. SO funny. They really are quite brilliant in their own low-brow way! Good call terfpan.

One word, Masterpice!. The almost as good as the "all about the morons", and coming in close to the "vote or die" episode.

I don't know about coming close on that episode... Turd Sandwich vs.... That was pretty funny stuff too.

I still like the one where Cartman hits his head and thinks he's a Vietnamese whore.

I like how they poke fun at both sides of the spectrum. They tackle a lot of serious stuff in there, you know? And they make it hilarious.
The episode where the priest discovers that molestation of young boys is part of official Vatican policy leaps to mind.

On your recommendation, I DVR'ed it last night and watched it this morning. Oh man, that was some serious humor. They skewered everything about global warming and they really destroyed "The Day After Tomorrow". (Terrible, unbelievable film anyway; excellent SFX though...)
Anyway, thanks for the recommendation and glad to see that "South Park" is still maintaining its high humorous standards and its subversively conservative agenda.
