WAY too many handles!

Didn't see that coming!

As most have you have probably noticed, I haven't been here much recently. Again, it has been because of my blasted laptop (though I must say its constant slew of problems does keep one's skills sharp). This time there has been a GIGANTIC handle-usage growth. My laptop at one time used a mere, stable 6000 (give or take 100 or so), however now that number has jumped from anywhere from 12,000-16,000 (nothing changed to my knowledge)! This of course is murder for my stability, and causes this thing to crash constantly. Here's a pic of just how much System uses (compared to everything else). Help (as always) would be appreciated with UTMOST jubilation !

Nice little application, kjay528.

Appreciate your posting the link.

The program does give detailed information on what services are running, and whether they can be safely stopped.

Cheers.

Indeed, thanks! It helped me trim it a bit down to 8000. I'm still not sure how those extra 2000 got there, but it's progress nonetheless!

Hmm....well it would seem that after installing the updates the handle count skyrocketd, but now how to bring it down the rest of the way?

P.S. Thanks anyway, I'm glad I got noticed at least
