Request:Make Players Be punished for dedicating a planet to one thing

ETC.

i belive that if a planet has mostly industrial items it should have high pollution and therby hurt its PQ Slowly. i think PQ could be improved if its well tended too so over years planet Quality increases. anyways, if a planet is all influencial it will have economical problems and be weak in producing Weapons. A all out economy planet would have the issue that tis weak in weapons production and can easily be taken over by Comercial giant civs. fill in any gaps....

No I don't agree, a research world would be protected by weapons made on an industrial world as an example. Your civ would move goods between its worlds. If the civ as a whole is overly specialised then yes you suffer, but I think adding penalties to specialising worlds would be annoying to manage.

i suppose... but you know somting... but mainly i wanted to point out that PQ should be reduced if a world is too industrialized and a world that is more "natural" should get a better PQ over time... i think that this is the effect of a flood over time like whats hapening in real life...

HA! I guess having a world with nothing but mines and power plants isn't such a bad idea after all

PS: I disagree as well. Wait for more of the game (such as colony buildings/improvements) to be implemented before making first and final judgements on the gameplay.

I believe the Funboy's idea is actually oposite - DO use dedicated planets ...

Starcat: Ooooh....random events baced on specific types of planetary improvement    I like it!  I'll try and squeeze this into our otehrwise bloated schedule!

KiRon: Your right, Frogboy (the Game Designer for GC2) WANTS players to have specific planets throughout their empire.  Player's will already be forced to deal with keeping their citizens happy with "Entertainment" projects...It'd seriously sap out the fun if you we're FORCED to build other types of projects, even if you didn't strategically want them.

Players should think of Projects as being more than jsut the improvement itself...if you build a Power Planet, it's not just a huge chunk of land with only power plants on it.  That land has a about 40% powerplants and 60% infrustructure to house the citizens needed to run those plants (housing, supermarkets, ect ect).

".random events baSed on specific types of planetary improvement"

I do hope you mean beneficial as well as harmful events.. *hint* *hint*

"And there was me trying to turn an area the size of britain into one massive factory building!"

That's nothing. On xasica, the banks withdraw YOU. That is until the discovery of xeno corporations.
