Integration of logon screen program inside theme manager

I,

I install sdcentral and all the component, and also all the free program (logon and bootscreen).

The problem is that in theme manager the list of available logon screen does not work.
The only thing i can do inside theme manager is using the setup right click menu to launch logon studio.

For bootscreen, i don't have this problem.

hope that there is fix.

regards
Emmanuel

I've found this problem since the last update of theme manager, not detecting the available logons, but you can fix this by clicking the add button and selecting Wincustomize>Logonstudio in program files to add them manually

Yeah, I agree with that last comment, it STILL doesn't work, the logon part of theme manager DOES NOT work. When suites are downloaded, it tells me it could not download or apply logon. When I manually enter them into TM, everything goes great but then all I have in my logon menu is Windows XP logon.

Now this MAY have something to do with the error message you get everytime you open LogonXP itself. I open my copy and get a message that says it's no longer registered as a logon editor, do you want to register it as one, click yes and the program works just fine, my logons work just not through theme manager.

Here's the real answer people...IT'S A FREE PROGRAM, I always love it when people complain about free stuff. You didn't pay, deal with it, complain when you had to put something up for it.

but if theme mgr takes over logon studio won't that derail the randomize function i like so well?

It does not work !

I found that at first, TM wouldn't add manually, but reinstalling LogonStudio and ThemeManager resolves that, plus ensuring that LogonStudio is registered and not set to randomly apply. It would seem there is a communication breakdown between the two, as I have encountered this more than once, but it is fixable with a bit of fiddling. The randomize funtion can then be applied to work as normal.

Yeah tried that, it still seems to revert itself back. I don't know what causes it, I just leave it alone and load my logons manually through logon studio. Honestly, I have better things to worry about in life than the fact TM won't load my logon screen. It's only a computer desktop

The problem is that thememanager does'nt recogonise the theme folder in logonstudio, what I do is copy and paste the logon folder i want to use into the main logon studio file. It's a bit a pain but it works for me.

This is an old thread but I figure I'll pop it back up with a clear explanation of the problem.

When installing a suite TM installs the logon folder into WinCustomize\LogonStudio\Themes\BlahBlah
When it then attempts to apply the logon it looks for it in WinCustomize\LogonStudio\BlahBlah

That's it in a nutshell.

The problem is theme manager and logon studio are not set up to work together. What happens is you can not use the themes for logon studio by going though the theme manager. Also theme manager will not accept that logon studio was even installed. This is how to fix the problem:

1)uninstall logon studio - if you have themes in the logon studio directory then save them to your desktop or redownload them.
2)The theme manager is looking for the file LogonStudio.exe in the directory c:\program files\stardock\wincustomize\logonstudio\ and by default logon studio will install into c:\program files\wincustomize\ so to solve this reinstall logon studio in the following directory - c:\program files\stardock\wincustomize\ to fix it so the theme manager will see that logon studio is installed.
3)The theme manager is looking for the themes themselves in the directory c:\program files\ stardock\wincustomize\logonstudio\themes so go into the options on logon studio and change the logons path to c:\program files\stardock\wincustomize\logonstudio\themes and move the themes folders that you saved on your desktop to this directory.
4) test it all by running logonstudio to make sure all your themes are showing up there, then run theme manager to see that your themes for logon studio are also there.
