How to capture screenshots w/widgets? Please help.

Hi all, I am a newbie and was wondering how to create screenshots with widgets included in them. I downloaded a couple of programs that would capture the entire screenshot, but not the widgets on my desktop. Thanks in advance for any help.

several do it (not at home, can't remember which) & so will a screen print to paint (i have to use shift-prnt / then paste into paint) - or you can go to widgets and search for 'capture'

Im not sure I understand your question. When I take a screen shot ..its captures everything on my desktop. I can have 20 widgets on desktop..all will show in screen shot. Could you explain more ?

I use " hoversnap " its a free program..just type in search , its easy to find.

Some programs that will capture screenshots, won't capture items such as ObjectDock, objects, widgets and others.
Irfanview for one. I like the program but can't use it for screen shots if I want any of the above in the shot.

I never knew that...must be on the same idea as when I have a Rainlendar on desktop and I try to get the color values using the Xzoomer magnifyer..it wont recognise a rainy. Maybe because they have transparency options?

Now I see why he asked

I'm so glad this came up as I was wondering why Objectdock wasn't showing up in my screenshots.

Thanks for the link to Hoversnap, Fairyy, will give it a go when I figure out why my print screen key isn't working...got a feeling the keyboard I'm currently using has seen much better days....got a new cordless Belkin keyboard and mouse combo I'll swap it over for shortly...hopefully that'll resolve it
