Cacto, I don't think the bacteria should be treated like soldiers, but then again they shouldn't be treated like criminals either. The bacteria are nothing more than mercenaries. The Geneva Convention specifically omits mercenaries from its protections.
To the bacteria, borders, local laws, or anything else doesn't matter. They will kill another Muslim as easily as they would kill you or I. No, I don't expect shootouts in every neighborhood because of this any more than I expect shootouts in every neighborhood in any war. True, the primary battlefields right now are Iraq and Afghanistan, but the bacteria has made if very clear that those are our battlefields, not theirs. Their battlefield is any target of oportunity that ilicites a high visibility reaction.
