Trying to get inside the mind of a serious basher...

What is it that drives certain bloggers to vindictively bash certain public figures? Why are so intent on just that one, or just that group? Is it a past experience? Is it a belief that is from childhood? Is it their personality? What is it?

--IMO, I think it is a past experience...a person could have felt betrayed by the bash victim when he/she/thay did not support their views...or whatever else...this is similar to a thought i heard about people who are atheist...but thats another topic... i think those who start on such a quest to bash a specific person/group, they lose touch with the world...they see what was right to them as wrong, and vice versa....more thoughts later...what does everyone else think?

Allow me to step in and say something about this before any 'moralistic' people chime in with false wit. It really all depends on who you're referring to and what the content of the bashing is. Typically, I find the only bashers here are the hawks who are true to their President's (ridiculously false) contentions and policies. So they would fall under the ignorant category. They're the only types I've encountered here anyways. I can't speak for others but I sure can speak for myself.
But remember there are many different levels of bashing and also of the corresponding ignorance since they really do go hand in hand. I've encountered the different levels and I find the best kind of basher is the one who waits until the last moment, totally surrounded, backed into a corner, you get the point. They are just acting in-a-way reflexively and may have shown true patience for the most part so the respect level also plays an important factor as well. But the worst kind of basher is the trolling variety, ESPECIALLY the types of trolls who actually troll your blog only to tell you you're trolling, but of course that's what they say only after they read my many word analysis of events which are pretty current and too important to piss around with. They're the worst. I won't name names but it's obvious if you take the second to check my site and the lame bashing I endure. Whether or not you or anyone likes what I say, it's not made up and if it's my personal opinion and/or analysis, I state it as such and don't place anything I say into the fact column unless I know it belongs in the fact column.
Anyways thanks for letting me air my opinion. In closing, I really don't like bashers that much but I take them with a grain of salt and try to change their way of thinking about things but to no avail.

--At times i don't agree with what you say, and other times i shake my head at it, cause it seems silly, and trivial...and other times i have looked up the facts being disputed and they have been 'different' ...but thats your opinion/choice...i can't stop you from posting it...

--I see two types of bashers, ones who bash others cause they don't agree, and those who bash others cause the they are being bashed...
