Karl Rove, And Selective Indignation.

Once again the Congressional Democrats, and the press are showing selective indignation with their hand ringing and howls of protest demanding the head of Karl Rove. This all stems from the Valerie Plame CIA investigation. Once again Democrats are pointing fingers at the Republicans while completely excusing and even defending those on their side who have engaged in much worse leaking with much greater consequences. Leaking information is Democrat's favorite pastime. They constantly use it to try and kill potential legislation or secret programs. They don't call Senator Patrick Leahy "Leaky Leahy" for nothing. He was caught leaking information when he headed the Intelligence Committee. You never hear Democrats criticize their own when they do something wrong, so there protests ring hollow when they accuse Republicans of wrong doing. Whether Karl Rove was right or wrong with what he did or didn't do does not excuse the Democrats from their blatant hypocrisy.
Hypocrisy is what Democrats are all about so I don't expect them to change. Sometimes it is rather amusing, but sometimes it gets downright dangerous. There have been times when leaked information has gotten people killed. The press shouldn't complain because their lifeblood is leaked information. Just look how they are deifying the great leaker of the 20th century.
Once known as "Deep Throat" Mark Felt is being held up as a hero. He broke laws and ethical standards to help bring down a President. As always however, to Democrats the end justifies the means. Mark Felt is a hero, but people like Linda Trip are villains. I guess hero status is only awarded to those who seek to bring down Republican Presidents.
This just in! Read This great article in the Wall Street Journal Defending Karl Rove as a great whistleblower. I remember TIME magazine naming three female whistlblowers "Persons of The Year" for the blowing the lid off of the ENRON scandal. I wonder if we shall see Karl Rove grace the cover of TIME, recieving the same honor? I doubt it.
