Massive Site Issues: Help?

Entire site is a disaster

Hey all.

What is happening with Wincustomize?

For about a week now, I cant even navigate this site... every time I come here, the entire site is "broken-up", images not showing up or loading, load times (for whatever does load, just text, mainly) is totally lagged-out, and if I'm able to even open a page for a WB skin, the image wont load at all when clicked.

The entire site is a horrible disaster, obviously the CSS used for the site isn't working (layout and large text tell that tale) and it's completely unusable! Gah!

I'm using IE6, am having no problems anywhere/any way else and have seen this happen once or twice briefly, but never last this long. I could barely get here to create this post.

Are you guys aware this is happening? And will it be fixed soon?

Dying to get some new skins!

Thanks.

Jafo, I've had the same happen to me....but not just with explorer becoming unresponsive and showing 2 instances in taskmanager....so maybe it's an internal thing rather than an external. ThemeManager is another that freezes on me and shows 2 entries when only one instance can be running. This has been a very recent thing and I wonder if it's somehow connected to recent OD updates, as this has only been occurring since the last updates around a week ago.

Hopefully somebody can find an answer

Yea, WC seems to have been pretty problematic for the past week. It's working well tonight. but then again, it's 2am!

At last... I've tried to display this topic about 20 times now, and finally it would show more
than the first post before throwing out a Timeout, or a HttpException with the same cause, or "there is no postings as this time" (something like that),Server is too busy and so on.. quite irritating when it happens a lot.. Earlier I have been quite lucky with regards to the timeout problems, but now.. no such luck anymore..

I have that error as well
Server Error in '/' Application.
File or assembly name zhdp21ll, or one of its dependencies, was not found.
I know mine might be cause i have some MS Beta software on my machine but i have been able to surf to every other page with no issues what so ever. I have a .NET Framework of 2.0 running. Like i said no other error on any other pages except this one. Any news on what the problem might be?

**Update**
I just updated my video drivers and so far have been able to navigate the site with no problems. I will keep you informed. BTW i have a nVidia GeForce 6800 video card.

Amidst speculation that updating with Windows Update or other software upgrades will solve those type of errors, it should be known that the particular error where the server is complaining about an assembly is a compilation error. It's mere coincidence that your pc was updated in some way shape or form, at the exact time that the error was resolved by one of us forcing a recompilation on the server

I have seen some related issues using Firefox that I had tweaked to allow more simultaneous requests to the server. When I dropped my number of threads down from 16 to 8 some of the problems went away.

It does look like a firewall problem. And also, somebody is writing on your monitor with a pen and some white out.
Honestly, do you have a firewall running? Disable it and see if you have the same problems.

WAIT NO HELP NEEDED I FIXED PROBLEM OBVIOUSLEY MOZILLA firefox DISPLAYS WINCUSTOMIZE WRONG BECAUSE IE Internet EXplorer DIsplays the SITE FINE..! Wonder whats wrong with MOZILLA FIREFOX..! huuuuuuuuuuuu

Is anyone else having problems getting to Wincustomize site. Once yesterday and about half an hour ago I couldn't get to the site. I got Server Error in '/' Application. OutOfMemoryException was thrown. I haven't had any display problems, looks fine and works fine when it finally comes up. I tried WC browser, FireFox bookmark, Netscape search, Aol search, Google search, and MSN search, all with the same results. I kept changing browsers and searches for about 10 minutes and it finally came up on all of them. Is this still a problem with servers or something on my end.
SP2, Avg free, MS Antispyware, all MS updates, ccleaner.

Who in the world references anything by a name of dxzxewew?

Microsoft!  This is a bug in ASP.Net.  Somehow their compiled file for the website gets corrupted or deleted and thus it generates the above error.  All I have to do is edit it and resave it and it recompiles the file and all is fine.

How often do you have to do it? Just curious what hoops you are jumping through in order to solve the ASP.Net bug.

Right now its happening on a specific server and I'm having to do this once or twice a day.  We have seen the problem before but it was not nearly as frequent (once a month).

I have a feeling that it I re-upload the whole project that it might go away but we are still testing our other server issues so I'm reluctant to make too many changes at once.

cooldreamer-you need to add Wincustomize and Stardock to your trusted sites in Zone Alarm.
