new Opera Build 8.01

opera released new build a few weeks ago, 8.01 - finally decided to upgrade - and i was so happy! the text that was being cut off before with opera 8.0 is no longer cut off!!!! just letting everyone know

gfcentral002 ... The cutoff text had nothing to do with your version of Opera, it was a site issue that was dealt with recently.

Tarkus ... That would be the 8.02 Technology Preview (beta).

I have used Opera 8.02 for a few days and without any problems. For those interested to try an alternative, skinnable browser, it's available here http://my.opera.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=96020

when did they fix the site issue - just before upgraded to 8.01, i had 8.0 and still had the problem - it only appeared correct once i went to 8.01 - and no, 8.02 is the one that is supposed to have bit torrent i think *i believe it's in beta or something don't remember what i read*

My mistake gfcentral... just checked with 7.54, and the left panel still looks terrible. I guess I mistakenly assumed the issue had been corrected in the site coding, along with a few improvements that happened a few weeks back. But I guess that was the same time I upgraded Opera.

I really like Opera, but I'm not paying $40 for it.

That is entirely up to you, of course. I paid, and did so gladly. I always try to contribute to futher developement of programs I 'really' like. Getting rid of that ad banner was a big plus too.
