Liberalism vs Conservatism

Liberalism vs Conservatism

We Report, you Decide

"Liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and wanted to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers, Conservatives saw the savagery of 9/11 and the attacks and prepared for war."

"Conservatives saw what happened to us on 9/11 and said we will defeat our enemies. Liberals saw what happened to us and said we must understand our enemies."

Both quotes are from the same source.  A biased one at that, but even biased people can speak the truth.

No, but I do find it hypocritical that we are all ready to slay any Democrat who insults the troops, but when it is done by a republican political advisor it is fine.

All?  Please list the democrats that condemned Durbin's speech?  I will help you.  Dailey.

Oops!  Small list.  Get your own house in order before demanding the same from the right.  The left has been at it for 5 years.  One peep out of the right, and all of a sudden we are the ones doing hate speech?

Not hardly.  Seems the democrats can dish it out, but sure cant take it.  Rove just got tired of democrats getting a free ride and so said some mild (yes mild! No unpatriotic, no nazi, no pol pot, no racists sexists bigots) criticism.  And if you read it with an open mind, you have to agree that the left LEADERSHIP (read: not all liberals) are very guilty of that exact thing.

Dr. Guy--I think you just went a little over the edge. I'm a liberal, not necessarily a democrat--and I don't really care for anyone's polarizing comments.

That said, you are right, I didn't write an article about Durbin--you've read the last article I wrote. I'm going to go back to being happy and ignore these political articles. I'm tired of hearing about what a bad American I am for holding opposing political views.

Is it Kerry's job to "go after" Rove? I wonder if his constituant could offer a million other things he could be doing for them instead of playing Washington D.C. soap-opera games...

No one is asking anyone to 'go after' anyone.  But to defend and support the outrageous statements the left makes, and then to feign outrage over what a conservative says is clearly hypocrisy.  Is it their job to be so hypocritical?

I don't recall anyone calling you a bad American. Indeed, Moderateman praised you on his threads for your demeanor and decorum, as I have in the past.  And will do so now.  You are always polite and post well reasoned responses, that allow for spirited and polite debate.

One they pathetically cannot learn.

Or will not, for nothing more than ideological reasons.

I think I was referring to Rove's statements, but I'm not really sure. Anyway, like I said, the political forum is infringing on my happiness, so I'm out of here!

I really think it is a brain disconnection.  They might want to, but they are incapable of it.
