This may become a bigger issue than anyone may think. There's no doubt in the universe that the US is becoming more of a totalitarian society every day. There are armed machine gun toting military/policemen in New York. There is the new student database being used to track all of America's kids for possible future military contact. News people have lost their jobs for stating what they believe to be true. Meanwhile, Bush's Administration use fake news reporters to write good happy news about Bush policies and making it as if it's real news. That's called lying and being deceitful. You have the internment camps being set up in the US right at this moment. You have elections done with machines which have been documented as unreliable and easy to corrupt. But mostly, for the totalitarian aspect, you have no public accountability whatsoever. And that's undeniable. There's billions of dolars missing from Iraq's treasury. Where did it go? No one who knows will say. That's not being accountable for your actions. Put it this way. If the same rule of law we have here was applied over there, the US would have many many people in prison right now. A business scammer like KennyBoy Lay will get some form of justice for their misdeeds and mismanagement of funds, however lenient. Halliburton executives were caught red-handed a couple years back, they were taking millions of dollars in bribe money. They never faced the music as they would in a western democratic society, which is what the US is claiming they're trying to bring to Iraq.
Burning Monk:
This is a prime example of why the US was never able to defeat the Vietnamese. The views on life over there are very different from over here. They are a braver society there is no doubt. In contrast, recall the lame self-made 'fireball' the American guy at the Pentagon protest. Sad.
