Capital Punishment vs. Abortion

This is a very strong topic in my book. I support capital punishment but I do not support abortion. Some people think they are the same. They are not. The criminals that are put on death row deserve to die for the crimes that they had commited. The aborted babies should not have to die because the mother of it got impregnated by having casual sex. So that is how they are different; criminals deserve the death penalty but babies do not deserve the death penatly.

If the author wanted to, he'd have to wait on a list for years to get an infant in the US, or pay tens of thousands of dollars to adopt one overseas.

The idea that babies need to be killed or languish in orphanages is silly when thousands of couples have to jump through hoops and wait to adopt an infant.

If I was older, I might adopt a child but I am only 15. I believe them to be similar because when I bring up abortion in my current events class, the teacher who is a liberal says abortion and capital punishment is the same and then I think if she supports abortion, why doesnt she support capital punishment? So that is my reason for putting them in a similar catagory.

For my part, not at all. No more than I consider murder and capital punishment to be similar. Unless, of course, you consider being "inconvienent" just cause for capital punishment, as many abortion and euthanasia apologists seem to.
