Bono shocked by Muslim women's reaction to breastfeeding

Another example of how clueless the left is. This is what the "religion of peace" does all the time. You offend them, they try to kill you.

U2 frontman Bono was horrified during a visit to Ethiopia, when he saw local women pelting a breast-feeding aid worker with stones.

The American woman was oblivious of the offence she was causing, and had to escape the angry onslaught from female Muslims who had no qualms about injuring her or her baby.

Bono recalls: "I remember one vision of the people who are with World Vision, which is an American aid agency.

"One of the women was breast-feeding a child on the horse. She was so comfortable. She didn't mean to be insensitive.

"But the Muslim women did not like this and came out and started throwing stones at her because she was showing her breasts."

While I agree that this represents the still barbaric behavior to be found in many Muslim dominated countries, it seems to me that woman would have taken the time to learn something about the customs and sensibilities of the people before going there to help them.

I pretty much thought everyone these days knew that Muslims are traditionally conservative to the extreme and have very strong views on public decency.

I also can't imagine why anyone would be surprised that these people would stone someone for an offense. They've been doing it for centuries. I guess Bono and the woman both got a nice dose of reality. The world isn't the warm and fuzzy place some people create in their heads.
