Why is "Browse Site" so out-of-the-way?

Why is "Browse Site" way down the left side, buried and visually indistinguishable from the other items?

For Pete's sake, there's room near the navigation bar for a "Search this forum" text field and "Go" button! What's up?!? I'm aghast!

I actually agree with you..every time I search I have to go down there. It sounds lazy but it gets annoying..

It's only annyoing when searching forums and articles. When searching the gallery you just enter one keyword, and on the page it goes to, it gives you a search bar at the top to make it easier.

I doubt it will be changed, Iorax, but if it was I would recommend the spot where the wincustomize store ad is, where it says "Welcom citizen ____", or where it says "cick here to Subscribe and get rid of ads and more!."

Now if I thought the position would be changed, I would've mentioned spots to put the replaced item that the search would take over, but they pretty much are just completing working out many of the bugs and everything else, they prob dont even want to look at rearranging.

That would be bad for revenue generation which is essential to the continued operation of the site.
I for one don't feel that the "browse site" area is that badly out of place at all. It's not like you have to scroll through a dozen pages to get to it.
