Editing own posts not allowed?

Recently, I've tried editing a couple of my own posts on the forum but keep getting this rerror message:

"You are not authorized to perform this action."

What's up with that?

# 3 from T-Man explains. This is for comments, if can't edit your own thread, I just clicked edit on one of mine from 139 days ago, edit page
came up fine, no error.

Thanks, Cavan1. The least they could do is provide a spell check/thesaurus as an alternative to being able to edit your own posts!

No problem, I proof read my comments 2 or 3 times before hit submit now.

Donna, if you are trying to edit a comment that has another post after it, you will get that error, and won't be able to. Is that what you are talking about?

Yes, Cindi, thanks. I hadn't known that they changed that option. Now I do! LOL!

I remember reading something posted (I think from Jafo) about that a while back. Something about not being able to, to keep people from revising comments after they got someone to respond to something. That and something along the lines of historical validity.

I think there is a time limit between post and edit also. I just edited this in - but I know other times I can't even if there are no other posts after mine.
