Christian in mental hospital over Islam switch

And this is the religion liberals want to defend.

Doctors in a Cairo mental hospital are holding an Egyptian Christian against his will, telling the man he'll be a permanent resident there until he recants his faith and returns to Islam, reports a leading monitor of Christian persecution.

Reminiscent of the tactics of Communists in the USSR who put dissidents in mental hospitals, the forced stay, according to Voice of the Martyrs, has been in effect since January. At that time, the adoptive parents of Gaser Mohammed Mahmoud, 30, committed him to the El-Khanka Hospital after learning he had converted from Islam to Christianity two years earlier.

ever wondered how newseek and dan rather musta felt just before things started goin badly for their stories?

there's nothing close to a reliable source for this, much less a non-reliable source without its own fish to fry.

here's a clue: when you find 10 hits linking to 10 different online 'news' sites, and all 10 reports are identical, you can reasonably assume someone may actually belong in a mental hospital. maybe all 10 someones.

I think liberals want to defend any religion. It's a matter of acceptance and tolerance. Now when ANY individual commits a crime against another, or making someone do something against their will for instance, then it should be that "individual" who should be punished not a whole religion. I mean not all Muslims are evil incarnate. Of course this would be in an ideal world.

I think liberals want to defend any religion. It's a matter of acceptance and tolerance.


How can you say liberals want to defend any religion when they go out of their way to attack Christianity. It's the liberal groups who every year try to take Christmas from everything. It's the liberal groups who use lawyers to stop a kid from reading a Bible at recess, but defend kids who act out scenes from the koran.

You can't be racist against Islam because Islam is not a race.

In contrast to what people thought in earlier times (and some still do now) behaviour and beliefs are not connected to one's genetic make-up. This means that certain behaviour patterns or belief systems do not constitute a defining characteristic for a race.

Opposing certain behaviour patterns or beliefs is thus not racist.

It's very simple and easily understood once you get over the idea that race dictates behaviour and belief and accept that there are no (significant) differences between the races, only between people's behaviour and beliefs.

No they go out of their way to prevent Christians from imposing Christian ideals on others who are not Christian, hence they want to protect other religions. It is because you are Christian you have taken it personal.

I am not relgious so I don't take it personal.

A kid reading his Bible during recess is not imposing Christian ideals on others, nor is the other countless examples of how liberal groups backed by the ACLU attack Christianity.

How can you say this? I hope you didn't have a straight face while you were typing this. Liberalism has been working for decades toward removing any and all Christian symbols or references to its faith from any public areas. Now, Islam, Buddhism, Wicca, Vampirism, cults of any kind(aside from Christian cults)....those they'll protect.
