Changing logon type - its like the win98 one

Before ive even changed my logon screen it was in Win98 mode instead of XP Pro. It uses scroll bars instead of icons. Like when login u have to type the username and not select. Can someone please help me change to default for XP?

Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Change the way users log on or off -> Tick "Use the Welcome screen"
