First a Thank you!

Then the news

A giagantic thank you for any and all that held a good thought for me wednsday, at my time of trials and tribulations.

THANK YOU!!! huge hugs for the men and gentle forehead kisses for the gals.

NOw, it seems that since I have been treated with an interferon based drug once already and am a partial responder, any more interferon based drugs only has a 5% chance of doing any good.

The 2 docs that me and colleen met with for 90 minutes agree further treatment in my case just cannot in good concious be allowed.
More harm than good could readily happen to me {infections etc} They will continue to monitor my viral load and my liver functions and if they continue to fail, then something drastic like a second round of interferon WILL happen.

But until then I Remain strong in my personal faith, that God has a plan and I am NOT privy to it.

SOOOOOOo again my thanks for the well wishes and kind thoughts, I remain always,

The MOST MODERATE of men,

Elie

Oh Mod...I'm not sure what to say.....so I'll just say that you and Colleen are in my thoughts daily (and my husband sends his good thoughts your way too) and that you continually amaze me with your strength and courage in the face of adversity.

You're a great man, Elie.

Moderateman, Elie, My Thoughts and prayers are with you.  I am sorry it did not work out for you, but while there is life, there is hope.  Perhaps there is something even better on the boards even now.  I will pray for that.

You are too good a man to lose!  Shalom my friend!  We will look at it as you are going to get the next great thing and it will be better!

So, when you get your bill, are you going to wish you lived in Canada?

What can I say, everyone needs an archnemesis?

Seriously though, get well soon, cause I'm starting to miss your rants against liberals and Canada and lack of spelling/grammar

Remember, laughter is the best medicine

Seriously I wish you the best of all that is possible in this world. I feel like I walked in the middle tho and only have 2/3 of the story but I will take it for granted that you are HIV and HepC?? I grew up on the streets of NY (literally) so the whole picture is one I am sad to say I know only too well and personally.
I do wish ya the best and it sounds as if you will be here for a loooongtime to come with your current news and will include you in my future prayers, hows that? Funny how many spiritual people you find on the PC these days, I remember when God was almost a Non word on the PC! : )

thought it was HepC that MM has? (same as me)

I too went through interferon therapy...18 months worth. Three times a week I took a tiny injection that made me hugely ILL...but only for about 2 days, lol.

While it's disheartening to find out a second course of treatment only adds 5% to the success rate, I wouldnt wish a second round of treatment on my worst enemy.

MM, it's time to concentrate on the quality of life now...have fun, eat well, love your wife...

Its a strange disease, HepC, some people live with it for decades without major symptoms, and not all who have it experience fatal cirrohsis or liver cancer as the end result.

Lets hope you are one of those lucky people, MM...and I will pray on that hope.

as usual you are right on the money whip.. hep c it is, and I am going to live {till I die} no use in "dieing before you actually die right?}
