Opera 8 and WC

There's a rendering error in the WC site when using Opera. The left navigation bar's text is cut off at the beginning of each line.

Don't know if this is Opera or WC but thought I'd post it.

That is a known problem - one of the other wizops uses Opera too so we get reminded about it now and again....

A fix is scheduled but its not a top priority at the moment

A skinnable browser superior to IE

Well that depends on who you ask really.....

Doesn't matter who you ask........ anyone that thinks Opera is not superior to IE would be wrong.

We'll be adding improved Support for other Browsers very soon. I would suspect that sometime with in the next couple of weeks we should be able to fix those annoying graphical bugs. Currently, if you're a non-IE user on site, it doesn't look to good. Not to worry, this will change shortly.

Thanks for the Post!

Why? All you have to do is try it once. You'll never go back.

The only place I see it is in the Forum Menu and the Recent News.
Thanks for the update Dark-Star.
Snowman, isn't Opera produced up in your neck of the woods?

You'll never go back

Been there - done that
Returned to MyIE2 faster than you can count to 1

Then you didn't give it enough time........ Opera takes a while to become familar.
I have Opera customized/personilized to the point that I can't stand to use anything else........ withou all my custom menus, and toolbars, I'm lost.
Keeping track of the newsgroups, email, special notes, and such, all in one window, is DA BOMB!

I'm from Norway. Though, I'm in England at the moment for my studies.

Have WC considered going from HTML tagsoup to pure HTML+CSS? I'd think it'd be easier to maintain...

Well, if they'd licensed DirectSkin, it might be a different matter . . .

Koasati is right. I've tried them all and none are faster than Opera.

Being the 'Site Issues' forum, please do not let this turn into another browser war/debate/discussion. Thank you for posting about the issue, we'll have a look.

If you would like to elaborate or discuss the issue, please do.

We have plans to update the coding. You are very correct on that. CSS is much easier to maintain when it's not hard coded like some areas of the site. ugg...
