HELP ME!!!!!

I feel like a total we todd for asking this, but...

Henry (my daschshund) has a hard-on that he can't seem to get rid of.  It's a full on one, his ...umm...penis is all the way unsheathed and he's wandering around with his back arched so's it won't drag on the ground.

He's been this way for half an hour, and I don't know what to do to help him, to encourage him to re-sheath his weapon.

I think it's painful....please, someone give me some suggestions!!!!!

Find another dog to help him out? Or er, use your hands and help him out yourself? Other then that, no suggestions here...

Ewww, Danny! He's whining now....he won't walk either. I'm going to have to ring the vet in a bit....

I had to take our male retriever to vets, they gave him some shot to take care of it. It went away probably 10 minutes after the injection

Alison...I'll try sitting him in a sink of cool water.....perhaps that'll help.

Yeah, call the vet. Could be a kidney stone.

Yeah....like I said, eeewww!

The vet said Alison was right. Cool water did the trick....was back in pronto!

Henry's going to the vet tomorrow....

Great! I would have them check for kidney stones. I had a dalmation that had them and that was one of the first signs.

What is the movie (not very funny) where this is mentioned?

I would avoid the usual first aid of rest, ice, compression, elevation.............

I think that it's road trip where they're talking about peanut butter and how dogs like to lick it off of...things.  The dude says "but it's ok if it's YOUR dog, right?"
