Contest: What Would You Like To B The Prize?

Hey guys, I was wondering. I want to have a contest (windowblinds design) in a few months and I want to give away stuff, but I don't know what to give away.

It can't cost too much so I figured it would be something in the range of 20 dollars. I figured first prize could be a Wincustomize supscription or maybe Cursor XP Pro... Maybe introduce people ti WinStep's NextStep?

Winners would also get a free t-shirt... I think... maybe a designer blog on Modblog and promotion of their work on my website (of which promotes artist anyway)

Can anyone think of something at or under 20USD from Object Desktop or some other program?

You could have the winner choose any of the SD products under 20USD. It could be one of the progrmas or maybe one of the Premium Skins

Hey Joe, if you want...we can make this a community contest...I'll throw in a crisp $20 to support the cause...

A few more and you got yourself something worth doing...because to be honest...making a WB skin for $20 isn't easy to swallow...even $40 is a longshot...but maybe we can reel in a few more donators...

What about the price is a free choice of product from SD for the amount of money you offer? Makes everyone happy letting them choose their first price.

These are some cool ideas.

I think it could be a choice of skinning products under 20 dollars (or under 40 with Hus's help lol) would be cool.

The idea is to also show off their work on my site, maybe an interview and to get some reconition. I am hoing all will get reconition but the winners will recive that plus small thank you's.


End the end, I guess 20 dollars might be too low, but that's pretty much my budget. I could possibly push it to 40 but what would the second and 3rd place winners get?

Holding a contest is harder than I thought it would be.... IS ALL HOPE LOST???


Well, I just wanted to know what would people go for as winning prizes.

) More Ram for their computer
) A unified desktop look complete with mouse pad, desk objects, USB mini light...
) Select a 20 dollar or less product from Stardock: From CursorXP to Natural Desktop
) Select a Premuim Skin
) Modblog Special design for blog
) Mention name mention on website and any links they want to put up
) Some kind of promotion or something...

That's all I can think of that is under 20 dollars (or at most 40 dollars).

Any help on what the prizes could be would be appriaciated.

How about a $20 gift discount toward the purchase of a new Rolls-Royce. Its not very useful but it would be a nice conversation piece.

I have an extra hair brush, or some cd's. I could fix a nice dinner for the winner, or give them a tour of my apartment. Maybe one of my plants?
