Trial Expired then Bought Pro-Not working

Help

I installed the trial version a couple of months back and was immediatly impressed with it as I required the use of my laptop remotly during a project. I'd only really needed it for a few days so didn't bother to purchase it. However I've just bought the Pro version as I am in need ot it again but it simply fails to work. WHY?

Basically everything appears ok until I move my mouse over to the 2nd PC and *nothing*, my primary PC is no longer responding as it thinks it's controling the 2nd pPC, but the 2nd PC is not under remote control so does nothing and works fine unremotly. The only way I have managed to get my Primary PC back is to unplug the network cable and wait for the pointer to come back..What fun!

I've tried uninstalling from both PCs, removing *ALL* registry entries and then re-installing it again, but nothing I've tried has cured this problem. Is there something I'm missing with this as I cannot understand what else I can do to get this working. The trial version worked without *ANY* problems and was a real joy to work with. This Pro version so far just makes me feel like I've wasted $69.99 and I'm not happy.

I've read that some other people have experienced similar problems, which concerns me as the Trial works so well, and yet doing the decent thing and purchasing a copy leaves in limbo. Any suggestions? Help!!

As it is clearly connecting to it the service appears to be running, but it seems like the dll responsible for handling mouse & keyboard messages is not running, or is an older 1.0 level version.

If you search the registry, does Multiwin32.dll get listed under the winlogon entries?

So what's the solution for this issue? Many of the rest of us are having this problem also.

Is having Multiwin32.dll listed where it is in the winlogon section correct or not?

I have no idea? I don't think anyone does?

What frustrates me is I bought it to assist me for work but so far I've wasted my money.

The trial version was awesome, and worked "out the box" but the non-trial Full Pro version is floored. Whatever they did from the trial version to the full Pro version has obviously broken something somewhere which seems to be staying broken.

Do you know what really pisses me off is that the customer support for Stardock is as useless as a chocolate fireguard. Stardock you've had my money, now either refund me the full amount or fix the damn software!!!!!!!

Have you emailed [email protected] for official support? I have found it useful.

Otherwise, if you are so unhappy with your purchase, you can email [email protected] to discuss a refund. I have also found them to be very responsive. (Kudos out to Kim!)

It's being looked into.

Excellent, as I would rather have a working version than a refund.

Why has it taken *so* long for this issue to have been recognised, it should have shown up during beta test surely.

Looking forward to a working version.

This is kind of a 'basic' question, but did you install the commercial version overtop of the trial version or did you uninstall the trial first?

I purchased this product yesterday morning to replace the OpenSource product "Synergy" and it's been flawless ... but I did not have the trial version installed prior. Synergy is cross platform (and free) but it lacks the file copying capabilities. Still ... while you're waiting for Stardock to find a solution for you it might fit the niche.

I have it linking 2 laptops (at work) and at home the same 2 laptopsconnected with the addition of my desktop.

Any news on a fix yet??

AS far as I can remember I uninstalled the trial first, but I suspect it must have left something somewhere for it to not work as advertised.

Sorry that i'm 4 months late in getting to you. I had the same exact problem with Multiplicity. Trial worked fine then the full version just stopped working. Oddly I got the full version working, as I was playing with some settings on my computer. I use multiplicity to connect between my and my wife's computer, transferring files and stuff, I never gave her access to my hard drives though (i.e. file sharing was off for my drives, but on for hers) I figured what the heck, on a shot in the dark i enabled file sharing on my drives and boom. Multiplicity was like hey hey! I'm gonna start working for you again.

Weird that the trial didn't have to have that enabled, and the full version does. Although in playing with Synergy I noticed that it seemed to work just fine the first time, and then gave me problems connecting. I don't know why that is, but for that program too, once I enabled file sharing it started working just fine as well.
