Lets keep the name calling to as little as possible here. I seldom (if ever) strait out call people names and object to others doing so on my thread. It does not matter who or where a person started it, it does not help a make any point other then making it harder for others to willingly support the views of the offender. To the contrary *col* you most certainly do. And while I'm not defending the things you quoted I am NOT going to use each and every one of them to bash the current administration like you do! And you want to talk about drivel? I'm quite sure I could find a goodly number of people on JU from both sides that would classify most if not all of you posts as "drivel". The only reason you get the replies that you do, is that most of us can not let the "drivel" go unchallenged

I set this post up as a complete opposite of some negative postings as of late. I have responded, just as you have done on this post, but with a few more links and facts.

Col Gene I'm not trying to single you out, but you do this more often then others. I see both sides (left/right) do the same thing, some times people want to stick to their guns no matter what, even when common since slaps them in the face. Some times no matter what side your on backing away from an issue may be good and repeating it again and again just frustrate every body even those who are sympathetic to ones cause.

Also a comment to every body is to remember that there is some middle ground some times. While no the surplus is not going to continue each quarter, but it maybe an indication that thing could on the improving side. Now that is what area of debate should be coming out of the bear facts of this article and what is covered more in Terp‘s article at: .Link

There is no defense when you compare for example year after year the deficit rises and the policies were following do nothing to stem the red ink. How do you defend not protecting our borders. How do you defend a trade policy that shifts more and more jobs out of the country. How do you defend an energy policy that has done nothing to make us more energy independent and were the price of gasoline and oil is rising which is adversely affecting our economy. There is no defending the Bush policies because they simply aren't working. the only way to defend Bush is to ignore what is taking place.
