Fonts in Favorites and toolbar menus

how to set them

Is there a way to set the fonts in favorites and toolbar menus? I'm getting rather large fonts sometimes and I don't know where those fonts are set. (I'm a bit of a noob at this WindowBlinds malarky.)

Tim.... not 100% certain, but try this... left pane in SKS..... menus.......pull down item. That font setting seems to affect the favorites menu, and the "file, edit, view" stuff. Not sure if this is what you meant, but I hope it helps.

If those doesn't, I think Fonts For Classic Widgets can change them, but remember to define the font sizes in negative values.

Fonts and colors for favorites menu and the pull down menus are set under Left tree- Menus-Bar items. The top 2 listings in the favorites menu are a different color and are in classic colors -text menu but the font stays the same as the rest of the favorites list.

Ha haa,

You lot are all so SkinStudio centric... !!

But many thanks for your help. Looks like I'll have to fire up SKS and see if I can find what you've suggested. (Not easy for someone who never uses it! Tut tut.)

hehe, you can always email me the skin Tim and I will find the line for you to edit.

Hehe, you guys aren't speaking Tim's language.

Under [MenuItem] add NormalFont=0 (or whatever font number).

Someone brought this to my attention recently on one of my ancient skins. At the time when I made it, there was no font attribute there. With the latest WB builds, most menu fonts were defaulting to a suitable one, but on the Favorites menu, it was giant black monotype text. Adding that NormalFont attribute fixed it.

Won't hurt Tim to get a little SKS experience! I get a headache when I try to think in Tim's language.

Yep, it's the Miscellaneous/Fonts for Classic Widgets. First need to Add/define the fonts you want to use (there are 6 Classic Widget Fonts which can be set there, one of them the Menu font), being sure to use negative numbers for the font Height setting, then assign the fonts to each of them (or not).

Cheers,

Ah Mike... thank you. That's exactly what I was looking for. Looks like it's probably missing from every skin I've done, although it seems to be behaving itself now on my PC... (maybe thay've changed something in the code?)

Thanks everyone.
