Theme Manager crashes every time it tries to apply a skin

This happens to every skin I try. It will say 'extracting' and then 'Theme Manager has caused a problem and needs to close. We're sorry for the inconvienience.'

"The instruction at "0x004113f9" referenced memory at "0x00000020". The memory could not be "read"."

Click on OK to terminate the program.
Click on CANCEL to debug the program.

That's what I got just now trying to apply a WB using Theme MGR.

It's one reason I haven't tried using it in a while.

The current pre-release "Release Candidate" version is 2.19i[rc].002

This version appears to be working fine - at least on my machine.

If you have access to this through SDC (select "show pre-release versions"), you might try updating to that one.

It looks like an issue between the program and the OS to me. I am thinking that there may be a corruption in the program installation.

Applying manually may be best at this time - if possible.

Sorry I don't have anything better to offer at this time.

Dunno if this helps, Meowy, but I had the same probs after installing the Alienware suite, accompanied by Thememanager 2.00.008. Also, I could not "save desktop", but after reverting back to Thememanager 2.19i[rc].002, the prob seems to be resolved. Hope this info helps

I have the SD version of TM, not an OEM.

I don't know what is stopping it in its tracks...
