Some stuff done during the week.

Hello Everyone! How has your week been? Good I hope.
Just dropping a note of the activities of the week of the 11th.
This week I've started working on a new redesign of TotalGaming.net to complement the new "Phase 2" initiative. I've been spending the last several days working on it on and off. It's coming along nicely, but as in any concept, anything could happen to change the design. For the most part, I think that I may be on to something that could work, but we'll see how it stands up to the test of time. Hopefully, all will go well, and I can move on to actually working on making this design come to life. Stay tooned...
As mentioned, I've been working off and on other projects as well, so here is a list of the other things I've been working on. For example, I've been working on a several items in the marketing arena. I've updated an ad for DesktopX to a new fancy ad. It looks MUCH better in my opinion. What do you think?

Also, we've been working hard on adding additional content to the WinCustomize Store. You've probably noticed the news article discussing the new WinCustomize "Best of 2004" DVD advertised. Well, I've added the store item on the store page and also updated the way we will be doing seasonal CD's for the WinCustomize Library CD's. Remember, WC is sponsored partly by these items, so please, if you haven't already done so, we encourage to purchase something. On that note, you may want to take a look at the Essorant Skin Pack & Unorthodox Skin Pack which I've also added to the store page.
In addition to these updates, I also fixed some updates on several of our other sites. Fixed a FireFox (say that ten times fast) issue with regard to the header bar on GalCiv2's index page. It was complaining about missing ID tags when some JavaScript was attempting display/hide it. Doh! I hate that when that happens.
Also, corrected an issue with FireFox and how it would display on the new forums for Stardock.com and also added a filter to change the color of posts made that are white text to be converted to black. That is, if a post was made on GalCiv2.com in white text, it now would display properly on the new page.
Of course, I had some more support email, and likewise took care of that as well. Again, account issues and also had to manually merge a couple people accounts together for this website. That's a fun job that we really REALLY need to automate.
It usually involves modifying data in the database, remote desktoping into a server or two, mapping drives and copying pictures from one account folder to the next across multiple servers.
It's not a difficult task, just takes time to do.
Well, that's about it for now. I've got some more updates to the site I'll be doing, but I'll mention them in next weeks work repost. I'll talk to you all later! Have a great day and a "most excellent" weekend! Take care!
