Transparent WindowBlind

I was just wondering if someone ever thought of making a transparent windowblind. I think that would be awesome.

How do you mean?

You know, like looking through glass. Except have the close/max/min buttons and start button tinted just a little. I wonder if that would be possible.

Yes, it has been thought of. It is not yet possible with WindowBlinds to do per-pixel alpha on window borders (or on the taskbar for that matter). You could use DesktopX to make the taskbar/start panel, and maybe you could do something with WindowFX "shadows", but the reality of translucent borders is not with us yet, I am afraid.

If anybody ever finds a way, without desktop X or AveDesk, could you send me a link. That sounds awsome! thanks

With Longhorn comming up next year I'm not sure there are many developers out there willing to take on such a heavy task.

they should make smt with png support. png supports alpha values... if windows or windowblinds
or anything would make it work with png, it would be cool.
