Great Beta!

This beta is excellent, it's better then some full version games I've played. The game does crash once in awhile, when you get the error message "windows does not have enough virtual memory" or w/e and you try to go back in it says fatal error.
The storyline is continued from the 1st one (obviously) and it's done well. There is one glitch i found, when you scroll right to left the scroll bar doesn't stop at the arrow like its suppposed to, it goes to the other side of the screen.
This game has major potential, it's very good and very well designed. The animators and designers of this game (beta) did a magnificent job especially since this is a pre-realeased version which means it could get better. I like how you can play as any race now and name your own planet/empire. I also hope that stardock doesn't get rid of its high scores bulletin. It's something to be proud of when you beat someone else. Not every game allows you to do that. This game tops the original which was pretty good, they got rid of the 2D engine and put in a 3D which makes everything look really realistic. Being able to design your own ships from scratch and upgrading them like your an engineer is sweet. it makes you feel like your actually the leader of this race you controll. There are many more great features in this game and some that need to be improved but I give this game a 8.5 out of 10 stars because it's incomplete right now, but if it produces and enlightens me like I hope it will I'll give this game anywhere from a 9.2-9.7 and the best computer game to come out in 2005.

In its current state I would give it a 4.5 out of 10. Which (funny enough) is higher than I gave MoO3...

8.5 out of 10? Wow. No diplomacy, trade, little research, no play balancing... since you think Beta 1 is that good, I fear for your personal life when the real thing is completed.

Personally, I haven't even bothered to think what I'd rate it. I could, but I don't have much desire to for Beta 1, so much is still missing.

Hehe Thanks for the review, Kahona.

Even being a developer for the game, I would only give it a 4/10 if it was released today But thats why it's a beta, so we can keep improving it until everyone rates it a 8.5 / 10 (or, hopefully, better)

And if there's anything you don't like about the game, don't worry about being mean...let us know if it's not fun!  Or if a certain aspect is lacking, or if it's getting tedious in some parts, let us have it! As much as we love the compliments, sometimes the harsh truth can be just as useful towards the final product.
