Anorexia is the psychological condition in which young women (and sometimes men) refuse to eat to become thin
Bulimia is the physical condition in which a person purges their food after they are done eating it.
There is a woman, who is a hero to me and hopefully to many other people. Her name is Emma Igelstrom.
For those who don’t know this woman, she is an Olympian, a champion, and overcame Bulimia. She is a swimmer, and won 3 world champion titles, 10 European titles (her first at age 14) and set 7 swimming world records… half of them fighting while her Bulimia.
This 25-year old Swede fought this condition for more than 8 years. After taking a 9-month break from her swimming career to overcome this condition, she lost the drive to compete. She is now going to study to become a doctor. She said, “I told myself that I would quit the day it wasn’t fun anymore, and I’ve made that decision now…”
To obtain her courage and strength will take most people a lifetime to gain…
This is something worth mentioning…
