Yesterday, the Washington Post and the New York Times broke two more stories about Tom DeLay’s indiscretions. The stories reviled that DeLay paid his wife and daughter $500,000 from political contributions and his trip to the Bahamas was tied to Russian business interests. This should have been the last nail in the DeLay coffin and he should have been removed from his position of leadership in Congress.

Today the Republican leadership disgraced itself by calling these actions, “ political character assaults”. Paying $500,000 to your wife and daughter from political contributions and going on trips tied to Russian business interests are not "political assaults", they are revelations of conduct that is not proper for a member of Congress. What the GOP leadership did by supporting his unjustified behavior is to demonstrate that their loyalty is to the Republican Party rather than to the Congress of the United States.

To all out there on the left, be it libs or dems or whatever. You are very quick to point out the current administrations failures (at least in your book). Why is it we NEVER hear about stuff like this from you? In my eyes this would be the epitomy of treason. Yet I hear no outrage from you on it.

Island Dog after reading all of your comments I am thoroughly convinced you know nothing about politics, rather you think you know something about politics and have a shallow hatred for liberals so instead of saying anything relevant to the blog you insist on sitting here bashing liberals. I think you should quit blogging. As I said in my earlier post it does not matter if you are Dem or Con this should not be allowed and the american people as a whole should be outraged.

No WMD's (FACT) Record Breaking Job Loss (FACT) Record Breaking Deficit (FACT) Osama Bin Laden Not Caught (FACT) North Korea and Iran Now More Dangerous Than Iraq EVER Was (FACT) I forgot that these are all just lies made up by the big bad terrible left wing right?

Wise American, you've been on this site 4 days. You have -261 points. I don't think you're in any position to tell people how they should behave. 

You seem to fail to grasp the difference between what is a "fact" and what is an opinion. While you do list some facts, they do not add up to anything such as "lying", "cheating", or "failing". 

The American people had a vote and the majority of them decided that Bush was doing a good enough job to have him on board for another 4 years. That is a fact that the far left seems to be unable to come to grips with.
