The Greatness of George Bush

Takes a MAN to forgive and forget.

This will be simple, George BUsh is going to the POPEs funeral. even though the great POPE and MY President disagreed alot.

George is MAN enough to forgive differences and pay homage to this great pope,

If he does go and he will , the liberlas whine "it's just a foto op' If he does not go the liberals whine This president has no heart and is crass and shallow"

and there ya go one more example of the HIPPO CRYPTness the left calls Liberalisim.

I love how you assume what the left will say.

It's a funeral for a major world religious/political leader. dubya is a head of state. He's obligated to go. It's not like John Paul II was the president of some jerkwater country. He's the religious leader of 17% of the world's population.

Do yo really have to try to politicize everything mod? Sheesh!

Yeah. Besides, Gorbachev went to Reagan's funeral, and they had a lot of diagreements. Gorby is MAN enough to forgive differences and pay homage to that great President (not that I think Reagan was a great President or anything)

The Americas have the lion's share of baptised Catholics, with 49.8% (approx 541 million); Europe accounts for 25.8% (approx 282 million); Africa has 13.2% of the total (approx 143 million); Asia - 10.4% (approx 113 million); Oceania - 0.8% (approx 9 million).

Nobody can argue that Bush is showing respect for the Pope any more than someone can argue he's only going for the photo-op. What we can do, however, is to look at the recent history of their relationship. Bush liked nothing about what the Pope was saying. He in fact completely disregarded the Pope's comments. Oh, to be sure, a leader can't run a country with the morals that would please the Pope. Even I would never diss Bush for not doing what the Pope was suggesting. That said, it's also clear Bush had no true feelings for the Pope. And here's why. Bush is always claiming to be speaking and praying with God, that God gives him guidance, that God is behind him supporting his crusade against (only Islamic) evil. Bush claimes to be acting under God's name. Well, we all know the Pope is the one acting in God's name, and everything he says about Bush and Iraq and Afghanistan and even going as far back as Nicaragua and South America, is of condemnation. It's laughable really. Think about it for a moment. George Bush says he acts in God's name. He bombs countries that are not a threat, and are in fact a 3rd world countries. The Pope won't do that. Bush lays waste to Fallujah, destroying over 200 years of Marine's honor in a day. The Pope wouldn't do that, nor would God. Bush lies all the time. God's not into liars at all. Overall, hahaha, we know the Pope acts for God. Not Bush.
