Game being saved window dissappears before I can read it.

It took me quite a while to decipher this window, many many times of seing it flash on the screen and dissappear, before I realized what it was. Is there any way to make the minimum time a "wait while I do this" window to stay up for a minimum time, say 3 seconds?

Why? I liked it blinking away as soon as it was done. Why wait any longer then needed? Hit that next turn button! AGAIN! AGAIN! AGAIN! AG... er... ship built. Time to do something.

It would be nice to have it vanish as quick as it can, but it would also be nice to know what it was. I kept wondering what it was until I was able to piece it together a few letters at a time. Once I knew what it was it was no longer confusing and irritating. On the other hand, maybe the last one I say flash by was something else, and maybe it was important, and maybe ....

I haven't figured out how to do that yet. I don't know how long it's going to take for a game to save before it starts, and it just unhides before it starts, and hides when it's done.  It might be less irritating to just have a text sprite displayed on the screen briefly, but it would still be something flashing on the screen that you couldn't quite read.

Well, if you don't know what is the better to do, make an option about how long between unhiding and hiding and let the user decides about the behavior

I personally would rather have a drop down much like the construction / research complete icon. It could be an icon of a disk or some such and when you mouse over, it displays a tooltip like: "Game Saved: Turn 423".

Thoughts anyone?

A drop down sounds cool.

I think it only flashes on because the save game is so small.
Maybe with a later, larger game, the save will take longer and so the message will stay up longer.

Maybe it shouldn't appear unless it's going to take over two seconds to complete. That can be calculated as a function of the size of the file, and the speed of the hard-drive. (CPU might have something to do with it, but it seems unlikely compared to a hardware file save).

I agree anglewyrm. what would also be good is a different colour icon for a project completed in a queue, so you don't need to access the planetary screen to check that the queue is still running

Perhaps there can be a window with the time elapsed after the last save action
And if u can get a warning it would be nice. The time which have to elapse till the next warning should be changeable.

I am happy with the fix to this problem on 0.12. Thanks.
