Can't Upload~Please help

Hi, I just wanted you to know I have not been able to change my Avatar or any pictures on my personal web page since Easter. Any chance this can be fixed soon? Thanks alot for all your hard work..

Same here, Cindi. At least on the desktop screenshot. I've been trying for a couple of days and get 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object'.

I just keep getting a message that one or more of my uploads failed. I've been trying to update my screenshot for 3 or 4 days now, and the same thing keeps happening, no matter what browser I use.

ok, you should be able to upload your images again. Someone left some test code in there that was not generating the error.

Trying to upload a beatnik, dont know if I'm doing something wrong but keep getting this error:"The process cannot access the file E:\www.wincustomize.com\!!Temp\gooberbean28-531-Golden.jpg because it is being used by another process" tried to upload it at 3 times same error.

Images and file names need to be alpha-numeric only...that is likely the problem...

I am also having problems uploading avatars and screenshots. It does not seem to matter what I name the files.

Please help me! Have been having the problem for over a week now. If someone is already on it then I apologize for the extra post.

Please give this a read when reporting issues : http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We need information to debug issues not regularily seen by us developers. After all, we arent telepathic... yet.

Please include the following information when reporting a site issue:

  • Browser Name
  • Browser Version
  • Operating System (if other than Windows)
  • The URL of the page which caused the issue.
  • What you did to see the issue. (We will have to reproduce it to kill it)
  • Any other information you feel is relevant.

I dont have problems with uploading avatars but i have broblems uploading a WB skin.
this is my first work.
when i'm uploading, it suddenly stops and redirects me to an ASP error msg: "the request timed out". i've tried uploading several times with FireFox, Opera and IE6 nothing worked.
