Jim,

If you are ending up with a ".exe" installer file after download, and are double-clicking the file to install - then receiving the error message - the 2 most common causes are:

- A corrupt or incomplete downloaded installer file
- A virus on your computer

Delete the downloaded file, and run a search for "ObjectDock.exe" and delete any files found. Now download a fresh copy of the ObjectDock installer file (using the "save" option) to "My Documents"

Scan your computer for viruses

If you don't have an Anti-Virus program installed, you can go to Symantec here Link and click the "Symantec security check" at the lower left of page, click the "Go" button on next page, then select "Scan for Viruses". This will begin the process of installing their scanning and virus definition softwares and will then scan your computer for known viruses.

After finishing the scan > disconnect from the internet > disable the Anti-Virus if you have it > run the installer file (which has already been scanned for viruses).

After installing, enable the Anti-Virus if you have one, and reboot the machine.

Start ObjectDock and play around with it to verify a clean install.

Note - this should work as long as your system files are in the default location (usually "C:\WINDOWS", where "C" is the letter drive) - if not, you will need to install the program to the proper location which will vary depending on your set-up.

I hope this helps.
