Upgrading

to 2.5

I have IconPackager2, is there any way to upgrade to v2.5 for free or do I have to buy it again?

When did you buy it? I think that it's one year free update/upgrade.

I'm still in my one-year window, but when I download IP3.0 all I get is a trial version and I can't find anywhere to plug in my purchase code. Anybody got a handle on that???

You need to either contact [email protected] to obtain another download link to the full version, or you need to use Stardock Central https://www.stardock.com/products/sdcentral/ to download the newest version of IP (make sure you enter your registration info into Stardock Central (in the lower right corner of the program window), or the full version won't show).

Enter the email address you used to purchase IP here https://www.stardock.com/support.asp ..... you'll receive an email with the info you need.

You might want to wait to get the latest IP. There have been many threads about all the problems with the latest version. There was a fix for it, but it did not help some of the people.Smile!

There's no danger if he's only updating to 2.5. It's version 3 that's causing all the problems.

Yeah IP3. Still waiting for a fix. Tried the latest build and I was back to doing a restore.

Depends..... if he ordered IP as a stand alone app (not as a part of Object Desktop), he is entilted to all updates with that version. i.e. all 2.x versions (but not 3.x). Time limits have nothing to do with it, as it is not a 'subscription' such as ODNT.

When I enter my email address at https://www.stardock.com/support.asp I still get a link to the last 1.x version of WindowBlinds, along with all the other applicable links.

IconPackger 3 is free to v2.5 users.

Wasn't aware of that Brad, but that's really not the point here.....

Just another off pointer as well... there will be a new ip3 update going out this week to address the issues with iprepair.dll.
