Show my real name in place of my nick name.

Under the Option tab in Account Settings I have ticked "Show my real name in place of my nick name." It does display my name in the forum thread list and such, but on each comment it says "Developer thomassen". The thing is that people tend to refer to me as "Developer thomassen" which I think seem very formal and awkward. Is there no way to have my real name beeing used all the way through?
(I tried changing my nick to Thomas or ThomThom or whatever similar, but it's all taken. Too common name...)

This isn't a big issue really, just something I find a bit akward.

Thomas - if I am not mistaken the "Developer" portion of the "nick" is an *Honorific..
You can change your honorific by going to the "My Account" tab at the top of this window and changing the setting in the "My Honorific" drop down menu at the bottom of the page..

I could be wrong, but it's somewthing to try,

It did work, but Sir Boss just sounded too weird, so I changed it back....I hate when kids call me sir, makes me feel my age even tho I never act it.

Yes, I'm aware of that. It's just that since my nick is my last name, I'm beeing refered by it. That's what I meant when I thought things seemed to formal.

But it's no real problem. Just incase I'd missed something.

Heh, I tried Sir my self, but as you said, sounded to weird. I would have liked "Sire" (as in the meaning of #3,#4 and #5 from http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=sire, not #2. ...al thought that might have worked as well. ), or "Lord" or "Duke".

As your access level increases so do your access to honorifics... I think anyway.

Once I got to higer level I instantly changed my honorific.

I removed my honorific. I had to use one in the beginning due to a bug that duplicated my posts. I think I'd like the honorific "Entity" ...

to get a higher honorific you need to be active in the site and within the skinning community in general...it takes a lot of time\work invested to get higher ranked....ive been here 2-3 years and have just hit journeyman
