BootSkin: My Pc wont boot!!!!

So right now when my PC gets to the boot sreen it just reboots(the boot screen never actually comes up). I cant even get into safemode. So i cant change any settings.

This is what i did to get to this point:

First i installed one of those other boot screen hacks. It worked fine for the past year. I never had any trouble with it. I just prefer to use stardocks stuff.

Next i uninstalled the old one and installed Bootskin. Bootskin ran fine for a while. Then i started messing with making my own screens.(see my earlier post) I had not finished making the new screen, but walked away from my PC. Later i came back and rebooted. I had forgotten that i was in the middle of messing around with bootskin.

Now when the PC boots it shows evidence of the previously installed bootscreen hack. then it just reboots.

So is there anyway to fix this without booting into windows? Maybe some info on how to set this right by plugging the hard drive into another machine and editing the files manually? I just need to know what file/files to fix in order to get my PC back again. Maybe a way to by-pass the bootscreen?

HELP ME PLEASE!!!!

If your are running any files system other than NTFS, I would boot to a LiveCD of knoppix and edit the bootskin . . .
You can also try the XP Quick boot Disk here: http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm Link
I have used data from the site but never this product.

I really do appreciate you posting so quick. Both are good ideas, unfortunatly in my situation niether worked. I really don't have alot of time time mess around with this, since I need my computer to work. So I'm gonna just do a software rebuild.

If nothing else I've got that link you provided,...seems like a good site to know.

Thanks again.

We had a similar problem. During the boot, there was an error screen that lasted 1 sec. It had something to due with the a corrupted file or time.date. We just dont know as the time of display was too short.
Fortunately, we have Norton Ghost and rolled back the system.
