Wiggidy Wiggidy Work Report Yo!
Work Reports from da hood!
from
WinCustomize Forums
Hello again all! It's that time again. This week's work report comes straight out of the hood (give or take a few dozen miles). This week was primarily spent bug fixing and getting things a little happier on WinCustomize and other sites. Hopefully, as we do this, the experience on Stardock websites will improve. And not to worry, we feel your pain... but please, continue to support our sites and as always, continue to let us know how we're doing. Feedback is a must in this business!
Take care and have a wonderful weekend!
On with the work report: It was a shorter week for us. We had the Monday off for the holiday... ahh vacation.... err, umm, anyways, where was I. Oh yes... *shutters* work report. Here is a list of some of the stuff that went on this week.
- Support emails. I get a few of them, so I like to answer them... hehehe Strange how that works? Would you like me to answer your emails? Oh why not, here you go: Email -- Go ahead, give me a try!
- Fixed a validation problem with the Stardock emails. Apparently anyone who received a link to have their account validated from the WinCustomize site would end up seeing someone else’s first and last name in their email. This was corrected and everyone should now be able to receive the correct email.
- Updated the download feature for WinCustomize. Now when you link directly to a file that you upload to WinCustomize from out side of WinCustomize (someplace other then a Stardock related site) it will automatically redirect the user first to the skin's page.
- Added a 'Quote' button to all the articles/forums on WinCustomize. You could quote an article using the quote button from someone's comment but if no one commented, you where left with no quote button. This has been corrected and now you should see a quote button anytime you are able to comment on an article.
- Fixed a MySkins bug where if a user didn't have any skins they would still see the options to sort. If a user pressed the 'Go' button, it would generate an error. Now, these controls are hidden unless the user actually has skins to show off. Looks nicer this way too.
- Fixed a bug where admins or possibly others could not edit posts. This was an annoying problem for many of our poor admins. Sorry guys for sitting on this one for so long.

( I know that you are really really great people who unrest yourselves just for us) ...So is it some coding glitch or have I been deprived off from posting there ..?
