About the GalCiv2 poll on the site

As i can see from the poll, Ship design seem to be the best followed by fleet battles. I am just wornding what you people pick and more inportantly, why. for me I real what ot see me being able to create any ship from nothing, becuase that can add alot to the game. I thing is that you can have a ship the the computer can't have but i slao think that the computer's AI should be able to create ship ass well. but to put what i think GalCiv2 should have from that list from top (most important to me) to bottom(least imporatant to me)
1.Ship Design
2.Fleet Battles
3.More sophisticated Colony Manage
4.Space Terrain
5.3D engine
6.Multiplayer (I think they should stay away from this becuase some of the games that i have played can take awhile)

ps. if you want to put up a list like mine, i'd be interested in seeing what is looks like.

I want to see more done with the map. At present the galaxy is pretty featureless, the only strategic points being the position of colonies. A few nebulae or blackholes could add a bit of colour and a whole new strategic element.

I've bumped up fleet battles as I think that the current combat system is too basic. I like a bit of finesse in my combat, so it'd be nice to see more there.

Ship design next as that was always a good feature of the Moo series. I'm not sure how it would be applied to the current gal civ format, the tech tree would have to be completely re-written so you research specific system components rather than concept technologies.

3D combats would be nice, as a 2D battle doesn't really cut it these days, unless the developers come up with something really clever. Moving ships about on a flat, top down map lacks the wow factor, while a non-3D isometric view might look dated and put off potential new players.

Colony management. I don't really care about it all that much. Just so long as things are ticking over nicely I'm happy enough to leave my governors at it.

Multiplayer. Turn based strategy games take a long time to play, so the multiplayer prospects aren't great. Development time is better spent elsewhere in my opinion.
