Shipbuilding Interface Suggestion

I find myself designing ships in the ship design section - naturally - but then having to go click on a planet to build it. It would be nice and save time/clicks if I could select build from the design screen, and a popup appear giving all planets eligible and how long it would take at each one. Would save some manuevering between screens.

whilst i agree with your idea 100% - all UI comments have to be saved up for GalCiv2 beta - round 2.

frustrating, i know.......

Evil Roy... but SD has told us that they welcome UI suggestions in this beta. Just don't expect them to happen.

An extension of Grifman's idea:

For ease of use, why not have some method from any build/research/espionage etc screen, have some easy way to link to a related screen to make alterations, then when you exit that one, you return to the one you linked from. That way if you realize you need to go to screen 2 to do B before you do A, you will end up on screen 1 again and are more likely to remember to do A before you hit turn.

Yes, don't "expect" them, but with Stardock there is hope. In GC1 many ideas from the testers were implemented. The biggest most important one, space stations and the constructors it took to build them, came from a suggestion a tester made.

Lucky Jack... thanks for pointing out that I had left out three worlds "... in this beta." I had thought I'd had included that in the reply. Whoopsie! My bad.

UI will get focus in the next phase of beta. And comments about improving it wil lbe welcome past that, but we shouldn't wait until beta phase 4 to suggest that they completely redesign the UI as it "Sucks! Sucks! Sucks!".
