How to change the "show desktop" icon?

I'd like to change the generic "show desktop" icon on the quicklaunch to another icon that I've downloaded, how would I go about doing this? I'm using XP Pro.

TIA.

I'm also wondering how to change the icons for my computer, my docs, network places, recycle bin etc on the desktop. For the life of me I can't remember where those are changed since it can't be done by right click > change icon like most other icons. Could someone remind me (for XP)? Thanks.

Ignore this one...a friend just showed me where it was (desktop properties > desktop > customize button at the bottom) completely overlooked it.

XP Home - may be the same (or close to it) - right click icon on quick launch - properties - icon tab

Not seeing any such thing here (xp pro sp2). Only General and Summary, and there's no "change icon" button on either tab.

Huh. I have 3 tabs: General - Summary - Icon

Hello, Bulma.
Bichur have 3 tabs because, I think, he use IconPackager.
But if you doesn't want to use it, I think the only way is to hack shell32.dll with Resource Hacker.

Gah. >_< Well if that's the only way to do it then I'll settle with the default icon, lol.

I've had problems with it in the past and haven't felt like reinstalling it.

Move Show Desktop to somewhere else, make a shortcut to it in your Quick Launch, then change the icon of the shortcut.

You're one smart cookie. Did the trick.
