different size icons

Hi,

I'm wondering is it possible to just change the display size of 1 icon? For example, all my icons should be using 32x32 but I want My Computer icon to be displayed as 48x48. Is this possible? If so, how?

Please advise.

Thanks!

Windows doesn't offer that option currently.

You might give IconX a try - it takes a bit of configuring, and I am not sure how limited the free to try version is.

The full version is $10.00 - so maybe trying the free version to see if your computer gets along with it would be a good idea. (hint - set size for each mouse state, then save the theme).

Unfortunately (this has been one of my gripes with Icon X for quite some time now), Icon X only changes icon size globally. That is to say, all icons on the desktop have the same size and effects. Hopefully if Icon X gets updates (lots of bugs that have been there for a long time) this will be one of them, per icon settings.

Use DesktopX and make or download an object.

My mistake.

Go with Yrgal's advice for the Stardock product that will do what you want.

You can create an object which is a shortcut and assign a custom image to the shortcut.

Sorry about the bad direction on that one.

Hi All,

Thanks. Can it be achieve using iconpackager as I'm currently using it? or DesktopX is the only answer?

Thanks!

In order to use a object as a short cut (or as an 'icon') you'll need desktopX

but on the other hand, you can then have an animated icon
