Run time library crash

Hello:
This is an error that’s been happening to me since I renewed my sub in January. For the first year the version of Desktop X ran great.
Then, whatever update happened around 2.30-2.40beta crashed everytime I ran it. The Run time library crashes.
I’ve loaded version 3.00.041. The welcome window at least starts now… the Widgets load and run…BUT the themes crash everything. I can’t Load an OBJECT or a THEME. Same errors "desktop x did not exit correctly --- do you want to load a new empty theme?
"yes or no" - it's a crash.
So far, I’ve gotten nothing out of this year's renewal as far as Desktop X goes.
At least WindowBlinds has never crashed – I’m getting SOME value.
Here’s my setup:
Windows XP SP2
AMD Athlon XP 2400 processor (2.00ghz processor speed)
1 gig ram
80 gig HD
DVD-RW
CR-RW
Creative Blaster live 5.1 sound card
Video Card :NVidia G-Force4 Ti 4200 with AGP 8X (latest drivers)
Please help get Desktop X running again.

tleparskas,

The only things I have to offer are these:

Deselect any options to "Load Automatically at startup" and return Windows to default theme.

Go here Link, and download the "ODNT_zapper" utility (link found at last item in "Component Manager>Troubleshooting" section. Use it to uninstall DesktopX.

Reboot machine and clear cache:

Open “My “Computer” and go to “Tools>Folder Options>View tab” and select “Show hidden files and folders”, then click “Apply”.

Go to “C:\Documents and Settings\”user account”\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock” (where “C” is the letter drive, and “user name” is the name on the account when you are logged in), and delete any “DesktopX” folder found there. This will clear any “cache” that has been written.

Go here Link to download and install the current Windows scripts.

Reinstall DesktopX.

Note - you can try just installing the "Scripten.exe" file from the Microsoft link, and clearing the cache. I included the Zapper link since the issue seems to be persistent.

That's all I have, someone more advanced than I may stop by.

I tried it all - Desktop X does NOT load. Just crashes. If this is the showcase product - whoopee. Version 2 at least would load. Useless, why renew a subscription for a product that doesn;t work. No thanks.
