"We should not invade Sudan unless we find oil there and can insure that Halliburton makes a ton of money. Otherwise, there is no US interest in invading. In fact, if they slaughter eachother into extinction, then maybe we can go in and set up a strategic military base without any interferrence from them. Hmmmmmmmmmm................."
Why don't you first get the facts before you shoot off your socialist big mouth! THERE IS oil in the Sudan,..lots of it. It's being exploited by China and India. A Canadian company was involved but was forced to sell to an Indian Company by a bunch of rabid politically correct assholes. The Company is facing a huge civil lawsuit and is likely going to end up before the World Court. Get this,..the Company failed to "do something" about the Arabs killing Blacks. I guess the Company should have hired a private army and stopped the Government. Now, if companies tried to interfere in the internal matters of Canada, there would be a huge uproar!
As for the invasion of Iraq, it was required because Saddam set himself up as the leader of the Muslim world against the West. To effectively fight terrorism, America has to remove or change the "swamp" that breeds the terrorist mentality. The alternative is to chase individual terrorists down which would be very foolish and would bankrupt the West. The analogy is what happened during the building of the Panama Canal. The French and the first US effort failed because the malaria ridden mosquitoes killed off thousands of workers. There were huge efforts mounted to attack and kill the insects but the swamps produced more new mosquitoes than were being killed. The US finally realized that to get rid of the pests, it had to drain the swamps, which is what happened. Same must be done with the terrorist situation.
As for invading the Sudan, anyone proposing that is quite simply nuts! The Country is a 3rd world sewer hole which poses no threat to anyone. The UN should proclaim the Government to be racist and the entire bunch should be taken to the World Court.
