Hotspots Help

Hey all, First post here. Just got OD Plus and I love it. Question though, How do I enable a hotspot? Im wanting to be able to click on an area on my wallpaper and bring up a dock for games only. Can this be done? Thanks in advance-Jeff

I believe it can be done. Just don't know how to do it (newbie).

Seems one way is create the dock, then hide it.
create an object to control the dock. which can be any picture or just the default object set to transparent.

if you look at some of the desktopx themes I'm sure you'll find one with a part that correlates to what your looking for. Take a look at it & you'll see how it was done. I haven't gone too deep into them yet but i suspect scripting is involved unless it's a simple set target.

Hotspots works for Tabbed Docks. Right click on an empty spot on your tabbed dock and bring up dock settings from the menu and then you will see the hotspots option. Click on hotspots and then click a spot where you want your tabbed dock to open up when you mouse over it. Then under choose action pick an option.

Thanks a whole hell of alot for all the help. If it cant be done just let me know. Has anyone read this?

Just calm down - we're not all just sitting around waiting for you to ask questions so we can answer them immediately!

Webgizmos #4 above is right. I'll just add that the built-in OD hotspots are only at the screen corners, and center of each screen edge (8 in total).

If you want anything more fancy, Bichur's advice (#3 above) about using Desktop X is probably your only way to do it.
