Reappearing Volume control systray icon

I'm using ObjectDock 1.1 and I have a dedicated System Tray dock. Upon system restarts and hibernate/resume, the Volume Control systray icon always appears there, even though I have the option for it unchecked in Volume Properties. To remove it I have to go into Volume Properties, enable the systray icon, and then disable it to make it go away. Any idea why this is happening?

Have you tried right-clicking your taskbar, selecting Properties, bottom half of Taskbar tab click on Customize button, then find your volume icon and change the dropdown to Always Hide, then click OK. That's what I have mine set to, then it never shows.

ama02 ... those settings have no effect on the ObjectDock systray.

Sorry Mark, but this is the first time I've heard of this particular problem with OD........ no idea what might be causing it.

oops! Totally missed the reference to OD! Sorry for my 'selective reading'!

Happens to best of us.... (if I had a nickel)

Hmm, well it seems the problem has fixed itself after another system restart. I can't explain it whatsoever, but I guess more than one restart is necessary. Oh well, I'm happy regardless.

Grrr, nevermind...

The volume icon reappeared after I came out of Hibernate this morning. So the problem still exists.
