Want to feel better? Blame Bush for -fill in blank-

Need to lift your spirits and feel better about anything?

Need to lift your spirits and feel better about --insert any topic here-- ? Blame Bush.

Not enough money in your paycheck? Blame Bush. It's all his fault.

Not enough food in the refrigerator? Blame Bush. In fact, Impeach him for it. It's your right dammit, take advantage of that, regardless of the law. Don't like the law, just change it, or like many liberals in the past (yes, I know, some conservatives have done the same thing, I guess we can blame Bush for that too) just ignore the law or quibble over the meaning of words like "is".

Too much work at work? Must be Bush's fault.

Raining in your area when you need sunshine? Bush must be responsible for the weather, blame him.

Bounced a check? Bush's fault.

Think of any thing bad in your life, and toss the blame on Bush.

Oh, be sure to note that in order to maximize the returns on your blame investment, you really have to screw something up yourself or have been partly responsible for it, and then blame Bush. He's there to be your personal punching bag and patsy, and it only really works if you can shift the blame from yourself or people you supported and voted for over to him.

It's not the fault of your congress person, or Senator, it's Bush's fault. Never mind that the Senator or congress person didn't vote to support something we really needed (like improved border security or national i.d. card standards). Must be Bush's fault. Never mind that your Senator or congress person included language in a spending bill to go "over budget" just to build one more un-needed facility, or fund one more pork-barrel project. Bush signed the bill, so blame him. Don't just blame him, demand he be IMPEACHED or fired for it.

Do you see how it works, blame all your own failings in politics and life on Bush. Make him your own personal pin-cushion, and take out your anger by placing blame where you really want to, rather than where it belongs.

Nows the time, take your chance, and fire off your shots. Add some notes below to tell the world what you really think Bush needs to take blame for. He can take it. 'He r 2 stoopid' to understand when he's being insulted and personally attacked. He's too bumbling and ignorant to really know it's his fault, so for gods sake, help him see the light. Make sure you post your comments just so he'll get them and personally act upon them. You know he'll see them, as his day is spent playing with legos and chasing around yarn balls like a cat (such as the Will Ferrell portrayal in SNL), so he has a lot of free time to use for your needs instead of those of the country and the demands of the office he holds.

Maybe even take the time to write a book or two and tout them as the solution for everything. Be sure to include "Bush" somewhere in the title just to make sure it sells that much better. If you're lucky, you can even perhaps climb to the top 1000 in the best seller categories. All it will take is a collection of Bush bashing, and you're in like Flynt.

So I say go for it. Bash away. Blame Bush and make things right with the world.

In fact, I declare the last 3 years of Bush Presidency as the "Blame Bush" years. Maybe someone can lobby congress to get that done. When it doesn't happen, heck, we'll all just BLAME BUSH.

You tell 'em Terp!!!

I think I'll change the sub-title of my Blog from "A Satire of Personal Tragedy, Disaster, War, and Other Things that Just Plain Suck" to "A Satire of Things that are Just Plain Bush's Fault!!!

Oh yeah, I think Col Gene beat me to that one... He is joking, right?

Shucks, only one reply. I thought sure that a few other folks would jump on this thread and do some more bashing. I notice today that the one-note wonder is apparently working on a few more chapters of a new book on the same old subject. Something about Halliburton. I guess that means I forgot to say that it was ok to use Dick Cheney as a proxy for the Bush bashing.

Hell, we all know that Cheney is just a puppet-master anyway, making the lips move and the dummy dance to the tune of the Neo-cons that really are running the country. May as well remind everyone to be sure to bash Cheney also. Even with a bum ticker, he can take it. He's thick skinned, and worst case, he'll just lean on Wolfowitz.

More bashing plz!

Usually, when I try to blame Bush for something, somebody else insists it's not really his fault. Take the current surge of freedom-desiring hot chicks in Lebanon right now. I totally wanted to blame Bush, but apparently he had nothing to do with it.

On the other hand, a lot of these same people do blame Bush for the death of Yasser Arafat. What gets me is, they say it like it's a bad thing.

Hey, terp, could you give some sources or examples of people unfairly calling certain problems Bush faults?

This blog entry sounds more like you're just peeved people keep coming up with problems in his administration's policies or their approach in handling certain events.

He doesn't need to quote sources, just go look at dabe's or COL Gene's blog. You''l find all you need there.

Why not, the right is still blaming Clinton for this nation's problems while ignoring anything positive during his administration.

Yup, see Reply #7 or any entry by that individual as an example.

For some people Bush is the reason that it is raining, snowing, sleeting, dark, too sunny, too cold, too busy, not busy enough, over-employed, under-employed, and any host of other "it's Bush's fault" issues.

Just in the last 2 weeks a certain one-note wonder has posted more "it's Bush's fault that xxxxx" articles than one could shake a stick at.

Am I peeved? No.

Tired of reading the same old crap? Yes.

The points of all of those articles is to bash away at Bush at every chance that can be taken. It gets so repetitive that any good points in any of those articles are drowned out and the message is lost because of who the messenger is. Never mind that this has been repeatedly pointed out to the individual(s) that have done this in the blind hopes that perhaps they'd learn to state their cases in less antagonistic manners that might get more genuine feedback.

It's exactly the same, and in the same vein as the Democrats in Congress that cry that they are being shut out of the process even though they are doing absolutely nothing to offer alternatives. Instead of actually trying to address problems and offer solutions, they point at existing problems and try to transfer blame onto Pres. Bush for those problems, even though many of the problems have existed for decades under both Democrat and Republican presidencies and control of the congress. Again, if you want to offer solutions and work on problems, then don't come out swinging and blasting the other side as wrong, wrong, wrong.

It reminds me of the labor negotiations that must be going on between the NHLPA and the NHL owners.

Owners: -players are making too much money-, -we are implementing a cap because we are losing too much money-
Players: -owners are a bunch of filthy stinkin' money grubbing liars-

Even if the Owners bring in individual auditors and show the books to the players, the players don't trust them and don't believe them. They must be lieing.

Neither side is smart enough to see that the other side has valid points and issues.

The same thing is happening here and it's resulting in poor government for all. Personally I don't prefer a super majority of either party to be in power. It leads to bad public policy and law. The super majority passes anything they want while the minority sits unable to do anything about it except for take the fight to court and hope to get something declared unconstitutional (which makes the original work a waste of time and money).

If both sides honestly sit down and try to work together, we get better results from the compromises that are made. Neither side wins, neither side loses.

Unfortunately lately we've had none of that happening because the Democrats (and some so-called Republicans) are hung up on preventing any Bush wins and are too busy characterizing anything he says as being the wrong approach at the wrong time.

It's time to move forward and actually tackle issues. Stop wasting time and money and do something.

Meanwhile, if something is broken, don't worry, just blame Bush like everyone else does. It's all in the spirit of the Democrats (and some so-called moderate Republicans) and their good timin' fun.
